When Detoxing is Dangerous

Did you know detoxing can be dangerous?

You probably know that toxins in accumulate in the body. That’s the reason for detoxification. But did you know there are certain situations that make detoxification unsafe?

Many popular detox programs merely move the toxins around without really eliminating them. If the body does not eliminate these toxins, they redistribute back into the body. These can include mold, heavy metals, or hidden infections. They can hide from the immune system behind biofilms, which make them difficult to remove unless the detox is done properly. If not done properly, they can penetrate more deeply into the tissues and nerves, or even into the brain.

Why does this happen?

It happens because the detox was not done properly, or not done for a long enough period of time. Also, there are certain people who should not detox. It is always wise to seek the advice of a doctor before doing any type of detox program. If the detox is done improperly, you could overload your body with toxins as they are now out of hiding and circulating within the body. It is never a good idea to do a detox if you are pregnant or nursing, or if you have silver fillings (mercury amalgams) in your mouth. If you have mercury amalgams, all you are doing is pulling the mercury out of your teeth! This can cause all kinds of problems. Mercury can cross the blood-brain barrier. You must use caution doing a detox if you are taking prescription medications, have certain health conditions, or are taking other supplements.
