I wasn’t always an athlete
For decades, I suffered with thyroid disease. I had chronic pain and fatigue. Some days I didn’t even want to get out of bed. I would lay in bed and hurt. This is not how I wanted to live. I got tired of not being able to do the things I wanted to do. I finally got the motivation to do something about it.
I tried everything. I went to allopathic doctors, doctors of functional medicine, nutritionists, massage therapists… I took supplements and medications. It was very difficult to navigate the world of nutrition because there was so much conflicting information out there. I didn’t know where to go next. Then, I discovered cellular healing. It changed my life.
I followed a personalized plan, just for me. About the same time I started the plan, I started running. I had never been an athlete. I was the kid who failed Mr. G’s swim class three years in a row. I was terrible at sports. In school, I was always the last one picked for any sporting activity. I didn’t play sports in high school because most of them involved running, and I was terrible at running. My first run was an epic failure, and I never wanted to do it again. But, I didn’t give up.
Just three months after starting my plan, I ran my first half-marathon with very little training. I had no idea how nervy that was until experienced runners told me. I thought runners always ran these distances. Three months after that, I did my first triathlon at the age of 52. I felt amazing, and had a lot of energy to burn. One year later, I ran a full marathon and qualified for Nationals in triathlon by placing in my age group.
If I can do this, YOU can do it!
